Ongoing – Aug. 27: Yorktown Sounds of Summer Concert Series

Yorktown’s Sounds of Summer concert series runs Thursday nights from 6 to 9 p.m. through August 14. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy dinner or dessert at any of Historic Yorktown’s waterfront restaurants including Water Street Grille, Carrot Tree, Umi Sushi, Ben & Jerry’s, and Yorktown Pub. Guests are permitted to bring their own blankets, chairs, and small coolers. No tables, umbrellas, or tents are allowed. There will be a dance floor, friendly games of cornhole, and to-go food from rotating food trucks available for purchase.

June 11-14: Sail Yorktown Festival

From June 12–14, 2026, witness breathtaking tall ships and military vessels as they grace the York River during the Sail Yorktown Festival, an official SailVirginia℠ 2026 Affiliate Harbor event!

June 19: Juneteenth Celebration

Colonial Williamsburg hosts major Juneteenth celebrations on June 19, 2026, featuring free admission to the Historic Area and Art Museums, centered on the newly restored Williamsburg Bray School and the dedicated African Baptist Meeting House. Events include a sunrise service, community drum circles, and “Freedom’s Paradox” tours
