The Trimble Collection where Master Framer Tom Trimble has been restoring, preserving and framing art work for over 50 years! Located in the Village Shops of Williamsburg Virginia for over 27 years, Tom’s master skills in restoration, preservation, conservation, and frame restoration, are well renowned throughout the world. Tom’s hand drawn, hand painted French and Empire Mats are without compare, granting the illusion of multiple mats with the use of a single mat, and his 19th century, multiple color french matting technique places him above the rest.
Tom is known for being one of our nations master framers. He is one of only three master framers that is still living that has been recognized by our great nation. He has the distinct honor to mat and frame special presentations for the State Department, four United States Presidents, the Navy Museum, Smithsonian Institution, and the Secretary General of the United Nations.
Whether it is framing, frame re-fabrication, oil restoration, print or document restoration, foxing removal, wood or sculpture restoration, gold leafing or gilding, or a unique and distinct shadow box display, nothing is taken lightly, and everything leaves our gallery as something you, and we, can be proud of. All our presentations are unique and distinct and every piece leaves our workshop with new life and vibrancy.
At the Trimble Gallery, your art is considered special, and so are you. We love and care about what we do, and we want to share that love with you. Tom will always treat you honestly and fairly, and when you leave our gallery you leave more with just a new painting or a finished product, you will leave as a well taken care of friend.
