The First RocketBLAST® Coaster on the East Coast
Water Country USA, a destination for summer fun in Williamsburg, will unveil a new water ride to the park. Set to open May 2019, Cutback Water Coaster™ is the first hybrid water coaster in Virginia and the only RocketBLAST® coaster on the East Coast.
Ranked a thrill level of “high” on Water Country’s scale, the Cutback utilizes two types of technology – a saucer feature and a jet propulsion system to send riders racing down the water coaster. This is the latest in turbine technology.
Riders will board a four-person raft and soar 850 feet through tunnels and down hills. Between the tunnels are massive saucers with a wide opening. The saucers create a “drop-and-dive sensation” as riders coast along the edges.
