Water Street and Tobacco Hill Hike

*Must be able to walk up hill on a dirt path at a leisurely pace

*Must wear appropriate shoes and clothing for weather and terrain

Take a walk with a Historian down to Water Street on the York River and learn about the many layers of Yorktown’s history. We will discuss the establishment of the tobacco port, the Revolutionary War, and the Civil War. We will climb up Tobacco Hill and find where Cornwallis really “hid” during the Siege. The tour concludes at the Monument to Victory and Alliance.
