Throughout March: Women’s History Month at Colonial Williamsburg

Colonial Williamsburg celebrates Women’s History Month in March with special programming that pays tribute to the lives and relationship of colonial women. Hear from a panel of experts that examine the roles women played during the colonial period and in the Revolutionary War. Take a tour of the opulent home of Peyton and Elizabeth Randolph and learn about the relationship between gentry women and the enslaved maidservants.

March 3-26: Busch Gardens St. Patrick’s Day Celebration

Busch Gardens Williamsburg is open in March for the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration from March 3-26, 2023. The festivity continues all month long on select days as Irish spirit, luck and celebration fill Killarney village.

Mach 17-19: Annual Conference of the American Revolution

Our friends at America’s History are hosting a series of events the weekend of March 17-19, 2023 in Colonial Williamsburg. Starting off with a guided tour of the Yorktown battlefield to examine eighteenth century field fortification construction, artillery weapons, and the application of siege warfare doctrine, the British defensive positions and the Franco-American coalition army’s parallel and approach trenches and more. At the tour’s conclusion, participants will better understand how the combined allied forces were able to destroy the combat power of a major British field army that was defending well-fortified positions without resorting to bloody frontal assaults.

A cocktail reception at 6:30 pm  will be hosted following the bus tour for all speakers and attendees. For more information regarding events, scheduling and registration, please click here!

March 20-June 21: Drummers Call

Drummers Call is an annual weekend-long showcase of 18th-century military music. Visiting corps from around the country join our own Colonial Williamsburg Fifes and Drums for a weekend of performances throughout the Historic Area. Learn more about military field music and explore the important roles played by fifers and drummers.

March 31-April 23: Busch Gardens Sesame Street® Kids’ Weekends

Busch Gardens Williamsburg is open in March for the Sesame Street® Kids’ Weekends from March 31-April 23, 2023. The family fun continues all month long on select days with Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby & all of your Sesame Street® Friends for fun-filled weekends.
