April 1: Victory YMCA Race 10K & 5K
The Victory YMCA presents the 8th annual Victory at Yorktown races, with 10K and 5K races as well as a 1-mile Fun Run! These scenic races begin on the Waterfront of historic Yorktown. Join us after you finish for post-race festivities in our Family Fun Zone. All proceeds go to the Victory YMCA. Your support helps us strengthen our community and keep families healthy!

April 15: Yorktown Market Days-Sister Cities French Market
Riverwalk Landing comes alive with the spirit of the Saturday market in Port-Vendres, Yorktown’s sister city since 1990, during the annual Sister Cities Yorktown French Market.
Enjoy French music, wine, and featured traditional market products such as fresh-baked bread and pastries, chocolates, macarons, crepes, and authentic beignets (just to name a few!).
Also, shop for seasonal produce, fresh baked goods, meats, fresh-cut flowers, handmade soaps and candles, honey, gourmet dog treats, and a beautiful display of work from local artists and artisans.
April 27-June 11: Busch Gardens© Food & Wine Festival
This spring, flavors are in bloom at Busch Gardens with the return of the park’s fan-favorite Food & Wine Festival. Serving guests every Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday, now through April 27-June11, 2023 with limited capacity, this year’s menu features festival favorites and fresh twists on classic cuisines. Guests are invited to take their taste buds on an adventure through 11 specialty food and beverage areas as they sample from 100+ international tastes, wines, brews and cocktails.
April 29-30: Pirates Invade Yorktown Weekend
Step back into the Golden Age of Piracy as Riverwalk Landing and the Watermen’s Museum are invaded by seafaring marauders.
Landlubbers of all ages are invited to visit the Historic Yorktown waterfront to learn lessons and legends from pirates’ lives in the 17th and 18th centuries.
Enjoy live blacksmith demonstrations and fun for lads and lasses of all ages. Explore a pirate encampment, sing along to sea shanties, take part in a town-wide treasure hunt, and witness exciting cannon demonstrations.
April 30: Art on the Square 2023
ART ON THE SQUARE is a juried show that is dedicated to providing original, high quality, handcrafted and diverse mediums of art. ART ON THE SQUARE will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2023, from 10am to 5pm. It is located in beautiful downtown Williamsburg, Virginia. Typically featuring over 100 artists, it is free and open to the public. Proceeds from artist booth fees are donated to visual and performing arts organizations throughout the greater Williamsburg area including Williamsburg, James City and York counties. ART ON THE SQUARE is one of the Junior Woman’s Club principal fundraisers to support community art initiatives. We are proud to announce that 2023 will represent the 58th Anniversary of this event!
