Celebrating Women’s History Through Needle and Thread
Join us for a special program highlighting the artistry of women throughout history! This program is in celebration of Women’s History Month to recognize women’s contributions to history, culture and society.
A fun, engaging hands-on activity for both children and adults will follow the program.
About the program: The artistry of women throughout history is celebrated at this event honoring this sometimes overlooked contribution to our past.
Join us as we present two of the most compelling pieces in our Collection – a Baltimore Album quilt made in the 1840s and a piece of English embroidery created by a young girl!
A fun, engaging hands-on activity for both children and adults will follow the program.
This program is part of the Museum’s recognition of Women’s History Month, which the US has celebrated every March since 1987.
