Throughout March: Women’s History Month at Colonial Williamsburg

Colonial Williamsburg celebrates Women’s History Month in March with special programming that pays tribute to the lives and relationship of colonial women. Hear from a panel of experts that examine the roles women played during the colonial period and in the Revolutionary War. Take a tour of the opulent home of Peyton and Elizabeth Randolph and learn about the relationship between gentry women and the enslaved maidservants.

March 7: Williamsburg Farmers Market

Get into the spirit of spring by visiting the Williamsburg Farmers Market, Saturday, March 7. From 8 a.m.–noon, shop local goods at Merchants Square. This weekly market features over 40 vendors selling a variety of seasonal products, including produce, meat, seafood, baked foods, honey, cheese, flowers, handmade soaps and more.

March 7: Creative Kids Day

Children and their families are invited to spend the day at Yankee Candle Village during Creative Kids Day. From 10 a.m.–3 p.m., children can enjoy free crafts, activities and more. Build with LEGO kits, make crafts with Mrs. Claus, get a caricature done by Ryman’s Caricatures, visit the mad science booth and more.

Mach 14: Shake Your Shamrocks

Celebrate the weekend before St. Patrick’s Day at Brass Cannon Brewing’s Shake Your Shamrocks event. Come dressed in green for this celebration that begins at 2 p.m. You won’t want to miss the release of the Golden Malarkey beer. There will also be live music from Fiddlers Green and Clan MacCool throughout the day. Kirby’s Kirbside Dawgs & Hawgs will be onsite serving up hotdogs and brats.

March 15: Busch Gardens Williamsburg Season Opening

Busch Gardens Williamsburg opens for the 2020 season on Sunday, March 15. Explore the world’s most beautiful theme park and ride the thrilling rides at Williamsburg’s family-friendly attraction.
