July 4: Independence Day at Colonial Williamsburg

There are several places to celebrate the Fourth of July in historic Williamsburg. However, 18th century Williamsburg is where America first developed its ideas for freedom. Celebrate our nation’s birth in Colonial Williamsburg with both free and ticketed events, including interactive activities, musical performances and fireworks.

July 8–12: Dollar Days at Busch Gardens Williamsburg

Save big when you visit Busch Gardens Williamsburg during the Dollar Days. Both Busch Gardens and Water Country USA will have items available for just $1. These items include games, food, water, souvenirs and more.

July 20: Lux Ice Cream Festival

July is National Ice Cream Month. Celebrate at the Lux Ice Cream Festival. Lux Events’ inaugural Ice Cream Festival is a family-friendly summer event held at Sullivan’s Square in New Town. This sweet festival offers ice cream, floats, sundaes and popsicles. There will also be other festival food, kid’s attractions and activities, and a live performance from a Disney princess. This event is free and open to the public.

July 26: Jamestown Jams – The Deloreans

Enjoy free live music at Jamestown Beach Event Park during Jamestown Jams. This ‘80s-themed concert will feature a performance by The Deloreans. Bring your lawn chairs and beach blankets for this outdoor concert. Snacks, picnics and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed. Beer and wine from The Williamsburg Winery will be available for purchase.

July 30: 400th Anniversary Commemorative Ceremony of the First Representative Legislative Assembly

Commemorate the 400th anniversary of representative democracy in America during this commemorative ceremony. The Virginia General Assembly is the longest continuously operating legislative body in the Western Hemisphere. This event will feature a full day of ceremonies, tours and a free concert at Historic Jamestowne. The ceremonies, programs and concert are free and open to the public.
