There will be no shortage of live music across Williamsburg. Head to a local restaurant or brewery, have a seat on the outdoor patio and grab a drink while a local band plays in the background.
Memorial Day at Colonial Williamsburg
Colonial Williamsburg will hold a special Memorial Day Commemorative Program on Monday, May 27. This free event is open to the public and will feature a procession led by the Fifes and Drums of Colonial Williamsburg, as well as a wreath laying, musket shooting and prayers.

Go Camping at Williamsburg KOA
If you’re coming into town, ditch the hotel and spend the weekend sleeping under the stars at Williamsburg KOA. For Memorial Day weekend, the campground will have plenty of activities the whole family will enjoy, including a bike parade, Bubbles the Clown, an animal farm and more.

Memorial Mile
Head to Waller Miller Park for the Memorial Mile. Walk or run to honor the sacrifice of local fire, EMS, law enforcement and military members. Their stories will be showcased in a static display at the park.
Grace Church Memorial Day Ceremony
If you’re in Yorktown, visit Grace Church for the Memorial Day Ceremony. The event will include a performance by the Fifes and Drums of York Town, guest speaker and wreath laying.
Civil War Remembrance
While in Yorktown, head to Yorktown Battlefield for a Civil War reenactment. On Saturday and Sunday, May 25–26, the park will commemorate Yorktown’s Civil War history. The event also includes special activities, demonstrations and a wreath laying ceremony at Yorktown National Cemetery.
Spend the Day at Busch Gardens
If you’ve got Monday off of work, why not spend the day with the family at Busch Gardens Williamsburg? Busch Gardens offers plenty of rides and entertainment to fill your day and evening. Memorial Day weekend coincides with the park’s Food & Wine Festival. This is your opportunity to enjoy 43 specialty dishes from around the world, as well as wine, craft beer and cocktails.

The Pure Silk Championship LPGA Tournament
Memorial Day weekend marks the final rounds of the Pure Silk Championship in the LPGA Tournament. Watch as some of the best female golfers in the world compete for $1.3 million at Kingsmill Resort. The week-long tournament culminates on Sunday, May 26 with the championship.
