A Museum of the Odd and Unusual!

The Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum and 4D Theater in Williamsburg offers an exciting and bizarre experience for all ages. World of the Seafarer

The Mariners’ Museum is one of the largest and most comprehensive maritime history museums in the world. Located just 20 minutes from Williamsburg in Newport News, the Mariners’ illustrates the spirit of seafaring adventure through a renowned and strikingly diverse collection of maritime artifacts, including figureheads, ship models, decorative arts, and international small craft.

The remains of one of the most famous ships in history, the Civil War ironclad USS Monitor, have a permanent home in the USS Monitor Center. This dramatic 63,500-square-foot facility lets visitors be a part of the action in a high-technology battle theater, walk the deck of a full-scale Monitor replica, experience interactive exhibits, and see artifacts like the iconic rotating gun turret.
